Many parents have come to me and wondered how they can help their child at home to practice their basic multiplication and division facts. There are several websites I like that allow review of both single and two digit multiplication, as well as division practice. Remember that when your child can memorize their multiplication facts, division will be much easier. Our new STAAR test will be a timed, four hour test so any way you can help your child get quicker at their math facts will be a great help to them come test time. For multiplication practice, you can go on www.numbernut.com. If you want to work on division, a fun site is www.shepphardsoftware.com. Once you’re child is done practicing, they can listen to the book The Doorbell Rang by Pat Hutchins and put their division skills to use!
